surface fitting

hi all,
i have ply files of a mountain and i want to fit a surface in the missing patches help required?

Hi,
It's just an idea but maybe you could project your data into a range image
along the vertical axis, if there is no caverns. Then using image processing
you could fill holes.

Hi,

Did you try looking into the pcl_surface module and trying to understand what each one does? The MovingLeastSquares class with up sampling enabled will help you.
