problem regarding Shot descriptor

M rezaei
Hi
I want to compare my method with Shot descriptor and set radius to 0.004(for
bunny), for fair comparison, but Shot has error,

Error Message:

The local reference frame is not valid! Aborting description of point with
index ************

what's wrong with it? how i can compare my method with SHOT using this
radius.
Thanks

Hi there,

Even I am facing the same problem when I tried playing with the radius
values.

Also, can anyone help me understand the unit for this distance measure, like
in terms of points or inches in a real-world scene?

I disagree. The units of a point cloud (and anything that depends on it) is
whatever unit was it computed with. If you gather a point cloud with a
sensor that measures in inches, then the cloud is in inches, if it measures
in meters, then meters. If you want to combine both and see it properly, you
will need to convert between the different measurement units.
