pcd_viewer: command not found ...

All,

I am running Fedora, and I recently installed PCL as described in PCL's linux download page. In order to test my installation, I tried to use pcd_viewer from the command line to view the .pcd found at the bottom of this tutorial page.. The command was not found. After looking through pcd_viewer.cpp, I realized that I don't have perception_pcl_addons installed. However, I cannot seem to install this add-on to troubleshoot any further. Does anyone have any suggestion as to how I might get pcd_viewer working from my command line?

Many Thanks.

Hi andre,

Try running pcl_pcd_viewer.

Cheers,
Sergey

Thanks for the quick reply, Sergey!

The command, pcl_pcd_viewer, is recognized; but, the call pcl_pcd_viewer myPCD.pcd returns the following: Illegal instruction (core dumped). I tried similar calls with various structured and unstructured .vtk files to make sure that it wasn't just the .pcd I copied from PCL's documentation page, but I observed the same result each time.

Has anyone seen this behavior before? Any insight is greatly appreciated!
