newbie question

srinivas bakki
Hello All,
Am a newbie to pcl, while i have been going through lot of pcl stuff in the last few days, i wanted to understand the real life projects the people who ask questions here are implementing. Anybody please provide me insight into this.

Thanks,
Srinivas

Re: newbie question

AMirth
I’m in my final year of university and for my Honours Project I am designing a 3D Scanner-Printer hybrid to aid in the creation of custom-fitting prosthetics. I already have two charities interested in the concept and all of the theory and mechanics work out however while I’ve been trying on and off since August to get PCL to work, I haven’t managed. It’s the one big roadblock.
I’m relatively new to coding (especially of this conplexity) however following the data online, the instructions I’ve read and so on I’ve got the first half of the program to work with OpenCV and theoretically the second half should work to write a PCD from the scanned data however it seems all of my attempts to install PCL on Mac for use with Xcode have not been successful enough for me to get it working.
Best wishes,
    Sam
