Anatoly can clarify these things better than I can but:
As far as I know use all the other apps the XnServer which allows for
multiple connections. Anatoly wrote his own interface for the Kinect
for the GPU stuff.
I guess this opens the device inode directly, which conflicts with the
already open XnServer connection.
I haven't looked in the code implementation. I know at one point
Anatoly spoke about converting to the openni grabber, but I don't know
if this process was completed.
Re: [kinfu] how kinfu set configuration of camera device
Just FYI, the code was changed to support the pcl::Grabber interface recently, so maybe try updating to the latest
revision first, to see if that fixes things for you before we investigate this further. :) Thanks!
