is harris3d detector platform dependent?

ricogu
Hi
I tested Harris detector on a macbook (ubuntu 12.04, 32bits) and VM in windows based server (ubuntu 12.04, 64 bits). Same code and same data-sets yield different results in term of number of keypoints. My question is : is the implementation somehow platform dependent?

Thanks
Rico

Rico,

As far as we know, it's not, but since it hasn't been released yet, it might still contain some platform dependent bugs.
It would help us if you could create a minimal snippet together with the dataset that replicates the issue, and create a
bug report at http://dev.pointclouds.org with it.

Cheers,
Radu.

Hi Rico,

The only platform dependent code should be the SSE optimization which you can disable starting from tomorrow  I hope (I am working on the cmake option), the remaining of the code should be multi-platform.
As Radu suggested could you please send us the c++ code for the test you run so we can confront results from different machines.

Cheers,
