html PCD viewer - Visibility of large-pointclouds

dim_tz
Hi all,

I have two pointclouds, they are quite similar, with the main difference being the scale.
(the 2nd derives from the 1st after some math manipulation)

When using the "normal" pcd viewer through my code, there's no problem depicting them.
When using pcl's online viewer through my browser though (students should be able to use it as a black box without extra dependencies), there is a problem with the visualization of (only) the 2nd, bigger-scale pointcloud. (please see links below)

More specifically, in order to be able to see it, I reset the view (key R), increase the point-size (key +) and then maybe change the color (keys 1,2,3).(some keyboard interaction options)
But the pointcloud is quite big, so when zooming out (mouse wheel) all the points fade out, this is probably a lighting/perspective issue.

Do you have any hint on this?
Can one control lighting or something else related?

Thanks!

dimitris

// original pcd files
// Online viewer - smaller-scale-pcd visualization - No problem
// Online viewer - bigger-scale-pcd visualization - Visibility problem

I tried a little bit. I was even unable to see an added point at 0.0 0.0 0.0 coordinates.

Try to play with the format header. http://pointclouds.org/documentation/tutorials/pcd_file_format.php#pcd-file-format
