Hi,

I just tried the tutorial on my machine and it works. It should definitely find a plane, no matter how "random" your points are. z=1 for 13 of the points.

Are you sure the you are compiling and running the code as it is presented in the tutorial? If not, what system are you using and what PCL installation?

Re: getting Error in PCL tutorial on Plane Model Segmentation

Hi,

I have run the code exactly as presented in the tutorial. I have ubuntu 12.04 and PCL 1.6 installed it in Documents folder.
I have followed the tutorial on how to add the path and moreover other basic tutorials are working.

What does this statement mean?
[pcl::SACSegmentation::segment] Error segmenting the model! No solution found.

With all Good wishes,

It means that the code you ran couldn't find any plane in the dataset that you gave it.

Cheers,
Radu.
