Tutorials

koen buys
hi all,

I'm currently going through the tutorials and found some things that
needs some editing to get them working again.
How is the revision process organized? Can I just edit the wiki, or is
there a global change upcoming?

Best regards,

Koen

To add to this, it seems that e.g. the following tutorial was working
for PCL-cturtle release:
http://www.ros.org/wiki/pcl/Tutorials/Reading%20Point%20Cloud%20data%20from%20BAG%20files

But now it needs  "#include "pcl/io/pcd_io.h" to recognize e.g.
"pcl::fromROSMsg (*cloud_blob, cloud);" .

Koen is using pcl unstable from deb pkgs.

I can't say whether there's a global change planned for the PCL
tutorials, but in general you're welcome to correct problems that you
find in the wiki.

Koen,

Feel free to edit the wiki to fix the tutorials. Keeping the wiki up to date is a pain for most of us, especially since we have made API changes since the wiki was last edited. We are looking at moving away from wiki tutorials after 1.0 comes out to avoid problems like this.

Thanks in advance for any wiki fixes that you might do!

Cheers,
Radu.
