Segmentation fault using cloud viewer

I am trying to add a CloudViewer to my code to visualize incoming data. However, I am having trouble adding a new CloudViewer. If I am following this very simple first example:
the program compiles without problems, but when I run it the terminal returns the error "Segmentation fault (core dumped)". This even occurs if i strip the code of everything non essential and just compile and run the following:

#include <pcl/visualisation/cloud_viewer.h>
int main ()
pcl::visualisation::CloudViewer viewer ("test");
return 0;

So there has to be a problem with that line, but I have not found it. Somebody has an idea?
I am running PCL 1.7 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
