MS Kinect in W7 x64 with visual Studio 2010

Altella
Dear all;

I have been using a Kinect with ROS under Linux to acquire images and save them.
With these images stored I hav developed a project in Win7 x64 using Visual Studio 2010 and PCL 1.6.

Now I face the problem of acquiring images in real time with the Kinect and I have to do it in Win7. After reading this article :
http://pointclouds.org/news/2013/05/13/kinect-for-windows-with-pcl/

I do not have clear the possibility of acquiring images and point clouds with the kinect to be processed by PCL. The axamples in tutorials assume the use of Linux.
Is there any How To that clarifies how to do this in windows 7?

Thank you very much in advance

PD: Windows is a must, not an option, this code is going to be integrated in a larger project.

Are you using the XBox Kinect, or the newer Kinect for Windows? The tutorial you linked is for the second one.

In general, try reading this tutorial on how to use the grabber interface. Once you have installed PCL, look through the openni_viewer_simple test program. It should do what you want.

(Windows binaries are available here.)
