Is there any difference between Uniform Sampling and Voxel grid filtering approaches ?

Hi,

Is there any difference between Uniform Sampling and Voxel grid filtering approaches implemented in PCL ?

Thank you!

The approach is the same. See details: http://docs.pointclouds.org/1.7.0/classpcl_1_1_uniform_sampling.html#details
Cheers,

If you meant what's the difference between
http://docs.pointclouds.org/1.3.1/classpcl_1_1_voxel_grid.html#_details
and
http://docs.pointclouds.org/1.3.1/classpcl_1_1_uniform_sampling.html#_details
then check out this post:
http://www.pcl-users.org/Voxelgrid-without-the-weighted-centroid-td3551390.html

It seems as if the resulting subsampled point clouds are the same.
