How to display the file as it is if it does not have red color

niranjan
Lets say I have a las file, it has blue and green colors but no red color.
How to display the file with the colors it has. i.e; if the file doesn't
have red color, instead of throwing Dimension red not found error or any
other color error, it has to display the colors as it is in the file. How to
do it
Display file if it doesn't possess any specified color i.e: red, green etc.,

Re: How to display the file as it is if it does not have red color

Fabien Rozar
Hi niranjan,

If I check in the io directory of PCL, the .las format doesn't
seem to be supported currently.

By tha way, there is an open source project, LAStools:
which seems to support .las file. It compiles fairly under my Ubuntu
machine.

So maybe one can inspired itself from the reader/writer of LAStools to
support this format in PCL.

I think that this should be reported as an Issue in the PCL github page.

Cheers,
frozar

This is actually a laspy error. niranjan is using my python pcl bindings
https:://github.com/davidcaron/pclpy

I added a simple las reader using laspy in my library. The error isn't
thrown from PCL.

Maybe I could assume the red field to be zero in this case, but that's a
very unusual to have a file with 2 out of 3 colors in my opinion.
