Re: Comparison between point cloud segmentation codes

icedoggy
Hi!

i have not used segmentation algorithms of pcl so far but i would recommend
looking at the tutorials.
http://pointclouds.org/documentation/tutorials/#segmentation-tutorial

more specifically, they may be useful:
http://pointclouds.org/documentation/tutorials/cluster_extraction.php
or this
http://pointclouds.org/documentation/tutorials/min_cut_segmentation.php#min-cut-segmentation

not quite sure if it fits your needs. Your work sounds interesting though,
have you published your code or a paper describing your method?

Re: Comparison between point cloud segmentation codes

Thank you for the links, but it is not what I am looking for. I need some
available planar segmentation codes in pcl, if there is such, to test my
datasets with those code and see how the results are different from my
segmentation results.

Re: Comparison between point cloud segmentation codes

ROZAR Fabien
I don't know if you already see it, but there is an example
with the RANSAC segmentation :
http://pointclouds.org/documentation/tutorials/random_sample_consensus.php

This is an available segmentation method of PCL.

Regards,
frozar
