Can't install PCL

Kashi_Haname
Hi,
I tried to install PCL on Linux using the insctructions on the Downloads
section. But when I run sudo apt-get update, I got these errors :
I've been getting this error since about 2 months.
I installed it on another computer by installing everything related to
"pcl", and I could get it to work but I think it not very clean to do
that way. And a lot of examples available on PCL website cannot compile.
Can you help me please ?

Thanks,

Danny

Danny,

Clone the 1.8.1 package from Github, then build it and install it using CMake and the CMakeLists.txt provided in the in the package.

Cheers,
Brian

Re: Can't install PCL

Hi Danny

I just installed PCL 1.8.1.99 from GitHub just now. Below are the commands I
used-

(1) git clone https://github.com/PointCloudLibrary/pcl.git
(2) cd pcl
(3) mkdir build
(4) cd build
(5) cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=None -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr \
           -DBUILD_GPU=ON -DBUILD_apps=ON -DBUILD_examples=ON \
           -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr ..
(6) make
(7) sudo make install

You can turn off BUILD_GPU, BUILD_apps, and BUILD_examples if you don't
need.

The compilation took longer than usual (I think) and I got some time to
enjoy my coffee.

Regards
Ravi
