Building for iOS

taylorhogge
I am trying to build PCL for iOS so that I can analyze the point cloud data
generated by ARKit. http://pointclouds.org/about/ says that the library has
been built for iOS in the past. However, all documentation or starter
projects I can find are out of date and are no longer working. Have any of
you been able to build for iOS? Or perhaps you could point me to a more up
to date set of documentation on the subject?

Re: Building for iOS

Sérgio Agostinho
I don't think any of the current maintainers have tried it. But I'm very
curious to know if it works.

What have you tried so far?

Cheers

Hey taylorhogge,

I'm also attempting to use PCL to analyze point clouds created by ARKit
(specifically trying to register them across AR sessions).

Have you had any luck?  I'm trying to use a Normal Distributions Transform
right now and can't get any alignment.

http://pointclouds.org/documentation/tutorials/normal_distributions_transform.php

If I can get them to align I'll also need to get PCL running in iOS.  So
please post any tips/tricks you encounter.

Thank you,
Sean

I tried to find some docs about this in the other day, but found almost nothing. If you get any advances in this topic, please share it !

Thank you,
